General MIDI Logos
A royalty-free license to use the GM Logo(s) is available to MMA and AMEI members for use with qualifying products. The Logo License Agreement describes the limitations and obligations for using the GM Logo(s) on compliant products, packaging and marketing materials.
In addition to the Logo License Agreement, a Statement of Compliance form must be filed for each product, or family of products. Separate rules apply for compliance by Sound Generators, Players, and Scores. The compliance forms describe approved devices, configurations, and formats for these products, but are intended to be used in conjunction with the appropriate General MIDI Specification and General MIDI Developer Guidelines documents.
If you produce GM compatible products, we encourage you to display the GM Logo and benefit from the industry investment in General MIDI. If you are not yet a member of the MMA, we would welcome the opportunity to have you join and participate in our organization.
