Here are two guys who were
instrumental (pun intended)
in
making MIDI what it is today.
Chris Meyer (left) was Chairman
of the MMA's
Technical Standards
Board for many years, and is
responsible for
MIDI Time Code,
and MIDI Machine Control. Dave
Oppenheim (far left) is the
founder of
Opcode Systems.
Dave is also responsible for the
Standard MIDI Files specification. |
|
|
Craig Anderton took a
break (from composing, writing
and editing articles, and testing
every MIDI product on the planet)
to come by the booth and
autograph the first edition of
Electronic Musician
(far right). Marvin Jones (former
publisher)
and Craig autographed the
First Edition of EM which was
later sold in our
silent auction
(right). |
 |
 |
|
 |
Not to be outdone, EM columnist
"Larry
the O" (left)
came by to sign
our birthday card...
...while EM's Editor in
Chief "Steve O" (center, above)
presented
the MMA with a commemorative
plaque at EM's NAMM party.
