seqMPEror
seqMPEror is a Max For Live device, and it is one of the rare software sequencers, in general, that is fully MPE compatible, and it goes even further. It allows users who do not have an MPE hardware keyboard to still fully experience it. And it does it in a unique and fun way by introducing an advanced gesture integration for each voice, which means 64 voices.
For the users that have an MPE compatible device, it can act as an advanced MPE Looper. It features eight modules. These are Pitch, Velocity, Polyphonic PitchBand, Polyphonic Aftertouch, Polyphonic CC, Poly Timing, Poly Note Duration and Chance | Probability.
Each of these modules has eight independent voices that can be automated with your mouse gesture, a MIDI or MPE controller | keyboard, an iPad, through a Web Device...

Eight voices MPE polyphony.
Control pitch, velocity, pitch-band, aftertouch, control change, duration, repeat/timing and Probability with your gesture per voice. Poly in on all sides. Poly Pitch Band & After-Touch, Control changes, Polyrhythmic, Poly Inputs, Poly...
It works as an MPE device even without MPE hardware. Thinking outside of a grid-based system Option to add odd tempos/note values or combine a total free out of sync timings with the regular ones.
Precise per voice Pitch-Band range. Gestures can create a subtle, constantly moving pitch banding or a more intense pitch cluster.
Open input. Input anything from Mouse Gestures to iPad (Mira) gestures or your MPE hardware device gestures. Any data stream can be sonificated with a constantly evolving complex system.
Works also as an MPE gestural looper, the data can be transformed in real-time.
Augmented music concepts: Augment your musical ideas and add generative real-time variations. Great also for live performances.
Advance preset and morphing system, again with the gestural interaction.
Innovation 1 Whole concept
We believe that the whole concept of seqMPEror is really innovative since it solves an important problem in contemporary music-making. Music is all about creativity, but repetitive looped patterns can easily overdrive creativity when it comes down to sequencing music. seqMPEror tends to move away from this repetitive process. It does it by introducing the essential musical element - the gesture. Entering notes in conventional sequencers, it is uninspiring. In seqMPEror you just drag a multi slider that controls eight polyphonic voices right away. If you enable the gesture recording feature, you instantly can automate your movement and get a consistent but not repetitive pattern. Imagine just doing this on the pitches of each not that is quantized to a scale. And then moving on and automating with gestures also the other parameters such as velocity. And even further defining the range of the pitch bend and then with the gesture automate each voice to add just a little detuning and a more human feel to it. In general, seqMPEror offers a completely new way of creating music in a sequencing environment. It is much more fun, fast, intuitive and rewarding than conventional sequencing. Innovation
2 Open input
It does not matter what you put into it seqMPEror will make virtual instruments sound great. Input anything from Mouse Gestures to iPad (Mira) gestures or your MPE hardware device gestures or even audio with some pitch tracking plugin. Any data stream can be sonificated with a constantly evolving complex system that is consistent and adds variation to the input source. Innovation
3 Experience the MPE in the seqencer or with your regular MIDI keyboard.
Since you can automate the gestures inside seqMPEror you can also automate the pitch bend, aftertouch and control change for each voice, which makes it polyphonic. But at the same time, you can use your regular MIDI keyboard to play the Pitch and Velocity. So by combining your regular MIDI keyboard with the advanced polyphonic integration of seqMPEror you can get a truly feel of MPE, and with the addition of automated gestures, you can even get a constant evolving expressive result. Innovation
4 Augmented generative music ideas.
Since you can record your MIDI or MPE device data into seqMPEror, you can then transform recorded material in real-time and add variation to your initial idea with just a simple mouse gesture or with a super interesting Spread parameter. Additionally, you can bypass some of the recorded material, such as pitch, velocity and pitch band and use the gesture to augment your recorded material.
