Does anybody have any .sty file with a MHhd track that I could play with?
I've downloaded hundreds of files, but none has that track.

Hm, yes????
The MHhd looks similar to the MThd, but two types longer. Looks like 4 data items, but the last two are two byte rather than 1.
The one I looked at has a MHtr as well, looks quite different to the usual MTtr.
A usual prog for doing anything with midi files should disregard these segments. Should they not?
Oh, a quick check of some Yamaha ones that I got some time back, they have MHhd segments as well.

The mhhd and mhtr commands are part of a Yamaha style file specification, not a standard MIDI message..
