Just made an account and not sure where i download software

There is no software to download. This is a place to learn about and discuss the use of MIDI.

As far as I know, the only downloads available at this web site are the MIDI specifications and other documents, and possibly any files that members have attached to their posts in the forum.

What type of software are you looking for? There are all sorts of free (and not-free) MIDI utilities available on the web for MIDI routing, MIDI sequencing, MIDI recording, etc.

I meant to add, if there's a specific type of software you're looking for, and you'd like some recommendations from other forum members, it would be best to indicate what computer operating system you're on, what (if any) MIDI-capable equipment you're using, and the specific type of software you're hoping to get recommendations about. There's no guarantee that you'll get any recommendations, but you're more likely to get responses if your questions are more specific.
