Hello World of MIDI,
I have beign using my CASIO WK-220 for midi for 2 years now and looking for a proper MIDI controller that has a pad and a keyboard. Does anybody have any reccomendations that are somewhat cheap?

I was looking at the roli blocks but that was way to expensive.

Hello,

I suspect that this is NOT the best forum for your enquiry, which is NOT really about midi at all, but about equipment choices.

There are other forums which could be a lot more help.

I'd suggest you look at:

http://www.homerecording.com/bbs/

and the sections there regarding equipment recommendations. There may be other suitable forums as well.

This is a very terrible post title. "MIDI" --- doesn't describe anything. It's not a sentence or a question - and if it's a topic... then the entire forum already has that topic covered.

sidenote... the 'like' button looks too much like a facebook 'like' button... and I didn't know where to 'upvote' the previous answer... also `event.preventDefault()` (developers)

The Akai Professional MPD18…is more of a stripped-down “pad-only” version that offers:
1. 16 velocity/pressure sensitive pads
2. 3 sound banks/48 total sounds
3. Plug-n-play USB connectivity

So for a cheap and simple option to pound-out some beats, I highly recommend the MPD18.
