I use a music studio with ProTools outputting to a MIDI interface and synthesizers. I would like to write a program in basic that will generate midi commands. I would like to know how to direct the program to output that MIDI number to the USB port.

I don't have access to the Mac platform, but a simple Internet search for purebasic and MIDI produced many results.
