With the update to the forum, we now have a "Ban Author" option at the top right of a post. While I see this can be useful, I tried it out today on a spam post, and I think it gives too much power to a non-admin user. I was able to ban the author of the spam post for 180 days by simply clicking "Ban Author", selecting a length of time, and adding a brief description of why they were being banned.
This could easily be used by someone to cause lots of issues on the message board.
If it is to remain, it should at least be converted to a "Report Post" button instead, where the post is flagged and sent to an admin for review.

It was in an automatic software update and we were not aware. Our admin says he has fixed it.
Would it be possible for the admin to also:
1. Re-enable the ability to edit your own replies?
2. Re-enable visibility of post attachments to vistors that aren't logged-in?
I reported these problems two weeks ago (May 30, 2021), but no one has responded.
From looking at the EasyDiscuss documentation about Access Control List (ACL) settings:
1. Perhaps the "Reigstered users" setting for "Edit Own Replies" was inadvertently disabled with the upgrade?
2. Perhaps the "Guest" setting for "Download Attachments" was inadvertently disabled with the upgrade?
Could these settings be re-enabled?
