When I go to this site my virus checker has a fit and says certificate expired!

No, the site is not a 'virus'.

I'd say the site is as 'secure' as it ever was, it's just that a certificate to confirm that it's 'secure' expired on the 21st Dec, so I assume the certificate needs to be renewed. I expect this will happen in due course.
